How to Rotate PDF Pages

1.

Upload PDF – Drop the PDF file into the upload area. Every page appears as a rotatable thumbnail.

2.

Rotate Pages – Click the rotate buttons on individual thumbnails, or Ctrl+Click to select multiple pages and rotate them all at once.

3.

Save & Download – Click Save & Download to export the PDF with corrected page orientations.

Single Page vs. Batch Rotation

Each page thumbnail has its own rotate-left and rotate-right buttons for quick single-page corrections. For batch rotation, hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and click to select multiple pages, then apply the rotation to all of them at once. Tip: if you accidentally rotate the wrong page, just click rotate again in the opposite direction — each click is a 90° increment. This works on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android directly in the browser.

Rotation Is Permanent

The rotation modifies the actual page content, not just the display view. When you download the result, every rotated page retains its new orientation in any PDF viewer or when printed. This is different from the 'View → Rotate' option in some PDF readers, which only changes the temporary display without saving. Your files are processed securely and automatically deleted from our servers after processing.

Common Use Cases

Scanned documents often have pages rotated 90° or 180° from the scanner feed direction. Landscape tables or charts inserted into portrait documents may also need rotation before sharing. After fixing page orientation, you might want to compress the PDF to reduce file size for email, or merge it with other documents. For more complex edits — removing blank pages, reordering, or combining files — use the organize pages tool, which includes rotation alongside drag-and-drop reordering and deletion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rotate a single page without affecting the rest?
Yes. Each thumbnail has individual rotate buttons. Click rotate-left or rotate-right on any single page — all other pages remain in their original orientation.
Can I rotate multiple pages at once?
Yes. Select multiple pages using Ctrl+Click (Cmd+Click on Mac) or box selection, then click the rotate button in the toolbar to rotate all selected pages simultaneously.
Is the rotation saved permanently?
Yes. The rotation is applied to the actual page content. When you download the file, pages retain their rotated orientation in any PDF viewer and when printed.
Can I rotate a page 180° (upside down)?
Yes. Click the rotate button twice on the same page to rotate it 180°. Each click rotates 90° in the chosen direction.
